The leather is amazing, exactly what was expected and wanted with all the bells and whistles. This is my second purchase from steel horse leather and I couldnāt be happier with steel horse leathers craftsmanship, service and excellence in quality products. The Walden | Handmade Leather Front Pocket Wallet with Money Clip
This fountain pen is well-made and feels like it will last. The brass is well-finished and machined. It is noteworthy that the cap is not postable. At least it doesn't fit smoothly on the wood handle but hits the threads against the wood. This is fine though because it is a large lightweight pen that fits perfectly in my rather large hands.
The nib was a little scratchy out of the box and a couple of strokes over very fine sandpaper fixed that. It writes relatively smoothly and very consistently. No dry starts nor run-dry by writing too fast. It runs slightly wet but not too wet. It writes slightly bolder than a typical fine point but is perfect for writing/signing. The converter works well and is easy to use. Doesn't leak. Overall a great writing instrument well worth the price. I have only used Noodler's ink so far.
